This is what has become one of the most popular photos I've ever taken published on facebook! This was a real hit and miss photo when I set up the tripod and punched in the settings to the camera. I loved the way the mist slowly crept across the background on the photo while it was being taken. I have never been to anywhere so dark to take star trail shots before and you can really notice the difference with how many stars you can see! I love it!

Come meet the Animals
With a day off and a charged camera we set sail for Noah's Farm I believe its called. A fully operational farm over the back of Winchester where on certain days its opened up to the public to come along and meet the animals! I don't think I've been anywhere before where you can spend so much time with so many different animals. I have to admit the less than week old donkey and pigs were my favorite!

Ultimate Frisbee Nationals 2013
Yet again the athletes are back in Southampton for the National Championships. Again the weather was awful for at least three of the four matches I watched but this doesn't worry the guys and girls! If you ever get the chance to see a game I'd definitely recommend it, you think football is fast and skilled you haven't seen anything!

Swanage, Stars and Sunrise
After a conversation the evening before about a certain someone having never slept under the stars I decided to arrange a little adventure. We headed to Dancing Ledge, Swanage, to spent the evening on the beach under the stars. Arriving after dark we cooked some food and had a couple of drinks before I set up my camera to capture what can only sum up the evening for us! Morning came and I took a few dawn shots - unfortunately the sun was hidden behind the cliffs so I followed this with a swim at 6am. Kayleigh took a couple of shots to prove I went for a dip haha! One of the coolest nights I've had this year!

Racing For Life!
Back to Southampton Common for the Race For Life. Once again Hannah is taking part for this great cause! We headed down to show some support! I believe next year may see a few new familiar faces joining her!
On a geekier note this gave me a chance to test out the Xsories Weye Feye - an awesome bit of kit designed to create a wireless network with your camera and phone, allowing instant uploads and remote access! More to follow....

Sun, Sand, Fish and Power Cuts! - Cheeky Trip To Egypt
We headed to Makadi Bay, Egypt, for this years "Summer Holiday". Six of us headed out for 11 days playing in the desert and red sea! We had a great time and the constant bright sun made shooting photos a photographers dream! Here's a small selection of the 200 odd I took!

Canon Day at Marwell Zoo
Headed down to Marwell Zoo for a days training and playing with Canon. I chose my weapon consisting of the new EOS 100D, smallest current DSLR on the market, and an EF 300mm f/2.8, one meaty massive lens! I spent a lot of time shooting videos and movies giving some awesome results. Video to come! Found it easy to use and with it being as small as it is I can see this being a great travel DSLR or something people would go for who are wanting a normal view finder on a Compact System Camera.
Another Canon I played with was the Powershot SX50 with its 0cm macro focusing. I didn't believe them when I was told so we popped our little Lizard friends foot onto the lens to see what happens. The results speak for themselves!

Three Times Over @ The Joiners
Second gig from the 3TO guys and they once again rocked the venue to the max. I always find it strange when a support act brings in more people to the crowd than the headlining band! Keep it up guys!
